That’s where the Kentucky Talent Recruitment Grant Program comes in. Established during the 2026 Kentucky General Assembly, this program is designed to help communities develop and refine strategies around talent attraction, retention and marketing.

| February 2027 | First Disbursement | 50% of award disbursed upon grant agreement execution. |
| February 2027 - July 2027 | Program Implementation | Awardees implement programs; submit semiannual reports to CED. |
| October 2027 | Second Disbursement | Remaining 50% upon CED approval of satisfactory semiannual report. |
| August 2028 | Final Reporting | Awardees submit final comprehensive report. |
